Overview
The Druk Path Trek is a 4- to 6-day Himalayan crossing between Paro and Thimphu, topping out at 4,200 meters. You walk through blue pine forests, past sacred alpine lakes like Jimilang Tsho, and over rocky passes with views you won’t find on crowded Nepali trails. Nights are cold, days are steady, and you’ll sleep in tents while your guide and cook handle the heavy lifting. Best in spring or fall. Not cheap—about $200–250 daily, required by law—but you get solitude, real silence, and an old-school trekking experience that’s getting harder to find anywhere else.
