Rafting in Nepal
Adventure White Water Rafting Expedition
Nepal is one of the best destinations worldwide for white water rafting. Bulging, Himalayan fed rivers crash down through the foothills on their way to the plains. FAT offers a wide range of safe and fun challenges depending on your thrill seeking desires. The wet and wild action is followed by relaxation on serene beaches for meal breaks and overnight camping.
Rafting is one of the major tourism products of Nepal. There are three major river systems with more than 250 sizeable tributaries. Since all the principal rivers originate from Himalaya, and some even from the Tibetan plateau, rivers will have enough water flow and pass through deep gorges, valleys and plains that provide both challenging rapids as well as gentle flows. There are plenty of options to choose from as per the grade & length of rivers; for instance we can arrange just a day rafting trip up to 10 days. The main rivers of Nepal for rafting are the Trishuli River, Bhote Koshi River, Marsyandi River, Seti River, Sunkoshi River, Karnali River, Arun River, and Kali Gandaki River.
For Hindus, rivers are very holy and cremation activities takes place at the confluence of rivers, All the rivers of Nepal make “The Ganga” the most holy river of India. As you paddle down the river along the way you can witness different flora and fauna, cremation sites, temples, ever changing landscapes, beautiful sand beaches, local fisherman, and people bathing and doing their laundry.
